Season 14 rankings, revised July 15 for patch 3.1.1. Barbarian and Rogue still lead, Druid holds the podium with its Storm variants trimmed by the Storm Shepherd fix — and Death Trap survived the patch untouched.
This tier list ranks all eight Diablo IV classes for Season 14: Season of Death Awakening, launching June 30, 2026. Rankings reflect the Season 14 launch patch (3.1.0, June 30) and the 3.1.1 patch (July 14, 2026), and are tuned as the live meta settles. Use the mode buttons above to re-sort every class by Overall, Solo Self-Found, Speed Farm, Boss Killer, Group Play, or Hardcore — a class that tops the overall ladder is not always the best pick for how you actually play.
Season 14 is one of the largest balance overhauls in Diablo IV history. The launch patch confirmed a sweeping Overpower nerf — The Grandfather, Godslayer Crown, the Dominate glyph and Banished Lord's Talisman were all cut — yet Barbarian shrugged it off: the Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus fix crowned Ancient Singer as the game’s highest legitimate DPS, and Whirlwind emerged as the season’s best all-round build. Warlock received the biggest buff pass in the patch across skills, aspects and items, though the settled data shows it raised the floor rather than the ceiling. On the loot side, every Unique now drops with two guaranteed affixes, Mythic Uniques can now be Enchanted, Tempered and Transfigured with added affixes rolling at maximum, and Mythic 3.0 turns Mythic into a quality any Unique can take on — +30% Unique Power, all other affixes maxed, and a chase pool expanded past 100 items. Pandemonium Ruptures are the seasonal mechanic, Solo Self-Found launches as an official mode, and the Corrupted Reaper is the new seasonal Lair Boss, fought in the Pandemonium Threshold.
A week of live Torment and Pit data has settled the picture — and corrected our launch predictions. Barbarian and Rogue share the top: Ancient Singer is the highest legitimate damage in the game after the Ramaladni’s fix, Whirlwind is the people’s champion at roughly Pit 140 on modest gear, and Rogue maps faster than anything alive, with Death Trap posting a partly bug-reliant ceiling that may not survive a hotfix. Druid is the clear third with the deepest build variety of any class. Sorcerer’s Ball Lightning outlived its nerf, Spiritborn’s Evade Counterswarm is among the fastest builds in the game, and Necromancer’s Blood Wave overperforms even if the bench behind it is thin. The corrections: Paladin’s launch buffs never translated to Pit performance — it keeps the Hardcore and group-aura crowns at mid-pack damage — and Warlock, despite the patch’s biggest buff pass, settles last. It’s an unusually balanced season at the top — and patch 3.1.1 (July 14) barely touched it: the patch fixed Mythic drops, cheapened Mythic crafting and improved Iconic odds, but its only real balance consequence was the Storm Shepherd’s Call fix that trimmed Druid’s toggled Storm builds. Death Trap, conspicuously, survived untouched — Rogues continue to post bug-assisted Pit 150 clears while the community points at the Barbarian equivalent that was disabled within days. The hotfix watch continues.
